I bought a P800 around 6 months ago, and it's so good that printing feels like cheating. The display on the front will prompt to load paper. The only information I can find is on the Epson Japan website, and it says that both printers have the same ink cost per print - i.e. Vs. 17-inch professional photo printers available as of April 2020. A small panel folds down and the grey cart is just pulled out. A preview image is generated and can be displayed during printing. Exact dimension could be in specification.I do not know if there is any size standardization as in non-rool papers but could be. I should note that Epson were genuinely interested in my results and a whole stack of prints has gone off to Japan for analysis. If I am not mistaken, a few years ago the Americans missed Mars because of their insistence on this outdated unit system and they didn't even blink... Inks are pricey, but I build the cost into the print-sale price, so it is a relatively small part of the finished article.I had a friend who tried to cut ink costs by plumbing in a third-party ink-feed system. BTW, They did not mention how much the printing cartridges would cost to replace, probably a good thing. I don't love printing enough to bother. It's 100% consistent, better colors and clarity, faster and more. If you want to print A3+ and use the front feed (for paper or board), you also need space at the back for the media to load. The image was printed directly from Photoshop with a 1.25m long custom page size for 13″ width paper. A second printer showed very similar results. It solves the problem of needing to buy another maintenance cart – as to printer design, marketing and support, that’s well above my pay grade ;-) Pull the cover and the whole mechanism slides out. I've printed almost to borderless on those papers in the past using Lightroom and never had a problem. The touch screen really does aid usability and should help build confidence in those new to printing. The special driver mode is optimized for glossy and metallic glossy media and produces what Epson calls a "rich, 'wet' looking black." The printer is simple to set up and if you use the Epson Print Layout software, very easy to print from. Why not just use excellent printing services? The Epson P400 seems better adept reproducing punchy, brilliant colors. One thing I look for in B&W printing is linearity. With an average shoe on, my foot is *very* close to one-foot long; the last joint on my thumb, an inch. If you measured a board to fit an existing space, you might end up with 108" 1/2 or with 275 cm, but more realistically it will have to be something in between; thus you will have an impractical number like 275,25 cm, that you will round, giving both the imperial and the metric system the same disadvantage. The 24mm F2.8 1.33x anamorphic lens is now being crowdfunded on IndieGoGo, where it's already surpassed its funding goal. Ink for the P800 is substantially cheaper than for the P600 because the cartridges are bigger, and that will soon make up for higher printer price if you you use it a lot (or let it dry up a lot). They’ll shorten it to 30cm and still charge you the same price while pocketing the profits. Even for images which have not been printed and images which were photographed in natural light, the process of setting light helps you see light and the process of making prints helps you see the elements in your image. Epson SureColor P600 vs Canon Pixma Pro 10 All in all, Epson SureColor P600 is indeed a more superior model compared to Canon Pixma Pro 10. Remember that a rubbish photo is a rubbish photo no matter how much you crank up the settings…. The P600 only uses 24.9ml which will meet the casual printers needs, but the cost per ml is around $1.25. Keith has been trying out Epson’s new P700 printer for this longish review.
